Dandy Noel has been passionate about film her entire life. Born in the Los Angeles and raised in Huntington Beach, California she grew up in close proximity to Hollywood. As a very young child, she seemed to be naturally drawn to the family video camera and the joys of creating her own productions. She dressed up her friends and directed them according to the inspiration of her favorite songs – in effect making her first music videos. Her filmmaking journey continued with formal training initially by earning her bachelor’s degree in Film from the California State University of Fullerton. Upon graduating, she became more intently focused on honing her skills in the technical aspects of filmmaking. She, subsequently, enrolled in and completing her studies at The Los Angeles Film School earning a degree in/where she majored in Film.
Dandy’s professional experiences since completing her formal education/studies in film have been diverse. She has directed music videos and film “pieces” which have garnered local and national attention. A music video she directed for Silver Cities attracted the attention of the OC Weekly magazine, which highlighted her in a feature article. Most notably, she was recently selected as one of shortlist finalists in the YouTube Play and Guggenheim Museum’s online video competition (from among more than 23,000 submissions). Additionally, she is the founder and owner of D14 Productions a production company that specializes in the production of web commercials and music videos. The company has already produced and directed feature products including/such as: Radio Silence and Contemporary America.
Dandy’s passion and appreciation for the art of filmmaking remains as strong and compelling as it was when she was exploring the family camera as a child. Even more she is particularly committed to pursuing her passion for directing. She understands and remains committed to the hard work and dedication that is necessary to perfect her craft/skills while achieving success and personal fulfillment.
